Re: Washington State Speed problems

When you ping Comcast, the IP that you are showing, and I said Bob because your profile name is Bob98102.

On another note: has anyone noticed when they do a speed test to sea.speakeasy.net they show high download speeds?
Check mine at »www2.dslreports.com/speedresults
My download is over 10000 kbps
You can also check against Zip code 98092

For several weeks now I have had severe latency problems, coupled with very slow download speeds and moderate upload speeds. Finally my father and myself went out and bought a new Motorola SB5120 and a Netgear 10/100WAN port router. Immediately after installation, I began seeing the expected speeds of 6300/700-750.

This morning I wake up and decide to test out my internet speed once more and get this:

2005-06-30 15:27:51 EST: 10029 / 712
Your download speed : 10270165 bps, or 10029 kbps.
A 1253.6 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 730015 bps, or 712 kbps.

I consistantly get speeds of 9k+ download... Anyone else seeing this?

Your download result is faster than mine, but I really like my upload. I'm not having a lot of faith in keeping this, however. I have seen some speed bursts lately, then we go back to normal. I guess we'll see.

My speeds have been pretty good. I sometimes get sick of the pings Comcast has. For gaming Comcast can't get it right. Hopefully they fix it. For just surfing Comcast is great. Gamers beware. Here's my latest speed test results.

Ya I knew that,I noticed it was only like that if I went straight to speakeasy's web site but if I used the same server from DSLReports it would show a more true test.
I also noticed this morning that the web page looks different now and the tests look to be more true now but still a little higher than DSLReports test page.
