straus posted : You're pinging a server inside Shaw's network right? If not theirs nothing Shaw can do. Otherwise a bad co-ax cable/connection can also cause this.

amohamed posted : For the last month I've been telling them about this and no one seems to listen. On Monday another technician came and said that late in the evening the card I'm on gets overloaded and cant handle everyone (1000 is the usual limit and currently there are 1200 people on). I told this to the Shaw guy that called me today and he said the tech didn't know what he was talking about and that I should replace my router.

I wish there was another cable provider in BC because, quite frankly, Shaw hasn't been providing good customer service as of late.

anon posted : I've been having the exact same problems... however, I've been experiencing horrible speeds as well. I've called Shaw and complained, got my credits back, and they're supposedly "investigating" the problem right now. It wasn't like this until recently. I think once they changed extreme-I to a 7megabit download, the network got more congested...

I live in South East Vancouver.

RandomFreque posted : Is anyone else not on extreme-i having spotty packet loss?

I left ping going overnight to the upstream gateway, got about 9% packet loss overnight.

I've confirmed with three other people having the same problem. The 4th was on the extreme-i plan wasn't experiencing this. Their on-hold message when I called last week admitted to this, but since it's been going on from tuesday onwards.. I'll probably have to call them and demand a week's worth of credits.

I can barely do anything gaming wise (even MMOs are getting bitch about this) and downloading web pages likes to occasionally freeze.

If you are experiencing this on extreme-i, please post a reply.

Ehh.. Just confirmed with someone on extreme-i that they are having the same issues as me. Looks like I'll be requesting credits for the last week of shitty service >.
