We had problems with Shaw mail servers where I work (Constant problem as employees email their home address). To alleviate I increased the session and helo timeout to 5 mins. Worked like a charm.

Thanks Morphix. That does appear to be the problem alright. The Shaw mail servers are really slow to reply. "Telnet idcmail.shaw.ca 25" comes up with a blank screen for a minute or so before you get the banner.

Sadly my mail server IMAIL 7.1 doesn't respond to me changing my registry setting. »support.ipswitch.com/kb/ ··· DM01.htm

My mail server times out in less then a minute. The RCF standard is 30 seconds.
