How to uninstall program not listed in add/remove?I have Autocad 2002 installed on my windows xp sp2 computer and it is not showing up in add/remove programs. How else can I remove it, i know its taking up a lot of valuable space, considering it only has a small 20GB hard drive.
Thanx for any suggestions:) |

Some programs have an Uninstall option via the start menu. Barring that, it's a matter of deleting all files, folders, and Registry entries deposited by the original installer. Sometimes these are relatively easy to identify, sometimes not (esp. Reg. entries).
There are some 3rd Party uninstaller utilities that will do this for you. Ashampoo UnInstaller is one. |

Try going into program's folder (usually in Program Files), and search for something uninst, uninstall, unwise... depending on installer, and trying running it. Otherwise use methods Wily_One provided. |

Re: How to uninstall program not listed in add/remAnother option would be to reinstall the program and see if the program then appears as an option. You might also want to see this Autodesk knowledgebase article as it seems their installer leaves something to be desired. » usa.autodesk.com/adsk/se ··· D=123112 |

Another option is to use a 3rd party app. I have Ace utilities, that comes with a really good un-install manager. It lists alot more items than you will find in XP's ADD/REMOVE. Se screenshot! Look at all the hot fixes that are listed. None of those are in my regular ADD/REMOVE. Ace has a free trial if you want to install it and see if your offending software program is listed for removal.
