Gaming → BF2 Tournaments and competition?

I am deciding which game to focus on for the summer, (BF2 or Wc3) and I wanted to know if there will be tournaments for BF2 and if the ranking system will end up meaning anything.

In Wc3, there are big tournaments, and it is part of events like WCG. Will BF2 reach that level? Or is it pretty much a dead end in terms of competition and events?

Until they stop or control the cheating and get a patch out. I would hold off on BF2.

wc3 events are a lot more easier to establish and play, and if you even have to consider between these two, pick wc3.
