What you asked makes no since as a repeater. I have the WAP11 with the WPC11. Well not for me but for my wife that works 2 days a week from home. As for distance the WAP11 will trans/receive up to 1000ft. I left the IP config set as defaults on the WAP11(IP 192.168.1.250 mask 255.255.255.0) and default configs for the BEFSR41. CAT5 running from access point straight into BEFSR41 port 4. Both the WAP11 and BEFSR41 are in my basement and my wife has used her laptop all over the house (3 story). Now understand it only connects to WAN at 11 mbps but unless you have broadband that can push that type of speed it really doesn't matter.
