Prospect Lake has never been this smooth and calm, for past Balloon Classics, and may never be again! A perfect combination of a near-windless morning, and no boats on the lake.
The lake was recently repaired and had almost finished re-filling. Boats were still prohibited. Next year, they'll be back, and the mirror-smooth lake water will one again be ruffled by their wakes.
But for now, what lovely opportunities it presented!
This was taken about mid-way through the mass launch of balloons from the park at the lake's boarder.
