Apple → iPod Transferring software..

Is there any alternate software similar to iTunes that will work the iPod? Getting frustrated with iTunes, it trys to play the fricken song every time I select or move a file which makes it lag like a bitch. It also fricked up the order of the songs on my ipod. The songs that are on my favorites play-list on the ipod are different then the favorites play-list on itunes...

Is there any other software out there or maybe a fix for some of these issues with itunes?

When moving the files be sure not to double click... Thats the only thing I can think of with the song playing problem.

By favorites you mean most often played?
Make sure your ipod is on auto update?? I dont really know I've never experienced any of the problems your having

These are not issues...usually a misconfig by the user. Check the way you're sorting the lists. Make sure the iPod is only syncing with one computer.
