Yes, it is very unfortunate that ping times etc. are very slow to be resolved but it is nice to see the understanding extended to MrFixIt et al.

But this is insane. I can't believe how bad SNET is ripping us off. I subscribed to this service mainly for playing video games. Lately, this has been almost impossible until the wee hours of 12:00 a.m. until around 12:00 p.m. if I'm lucky. SNET customers keep getting this carrot dangled in front of them of some "fix" that will solve this issue, and it still has yet to come.

Even though I mainly want a low ping for playing games, low pings on that 4th hop really effect my browsing, especially if I have something like eDonkey open. I'm sorry, I'm not one of those people that are settled with the fact that "it's better than my old dialup". I want what I pay for. Bottom line.

SNET really should let people out of their contracts if they can't solve this. I could be getting a cable connection and saving around $20 a month. But buying out of this contract plus paying to start that up just isn't worth it, as it will cost too much money.

Well, now we just sit and wait, hoping for some kind of "fix"...meanwhile I still receive my bill in the mail...

When the hell are they just going to just fix this. I mean no disrespect to MrFixitCT, who by the way has been a tremendous help to a lot of the members of this forum, just SNET. I feel like another mindless rat hitting the bar for a food pellet, not getting it and then still be waiting for something after the 1000th hit. Having been and engineer for a telecom company I can't understand why this is taking so long, excluding a political reason.

And before anyone starts flaming me... this was supposed to be fixed before those F*%@&$g A**H%l@s in the middle east committed their cowardly attack against our country, so I don't accept that as an excuse.
