My friend has an HD-capable TV with the tuner. He plugs his basic cable directly into the set and it picks up regular CBS, NBC, ABC etc. HD channels as well as the digital simulcast of everything else he gets on regular cable.

We have full digital simulcast here and I'm in Lower Merion, PA.
