I have been operating under EL in a Verizon (formerly GTE) area for about 2 months now. I was told clearly when I ordered my DSL service that my speed would be caped at 768/128 due to service agreements with Verizon.

Interestingly enough, one call to Verizon's DSL help desk (a number provided by EL support), and I was able to get my line reprovisioned to 1.5Mb
