[modem/router] 327w modem and wrt54g problem solved

To those of you still having trouble with making the westell 327w a regular modem like I was should check this out.

»members.verizon.net/~res ··· 6100.htm

Its for the 6100 but the results were the same. In no time this was the solution to a problem that I had. The trick that was holding me up and I bet many others was the fact that verizon still needed my 327s mac address to issue my linksys an ip. I don't know how many times I just passed over the page that afforded the linksys the ability to clone a mac. I been all round google and this forum and others and am sure that somewhere somebody dropped a dime on the mac thing. After reading so many posts its not hard to wonder that one can forget the simplest of things. Anyway you can clone the old mac or wait two hours.

That's a Verizon West ExGTE area solution. Does not apply to Verizon East PPPoE connections.
