[General] TestYourVoIP Not working

I found this link here on the forum:

»www.testyourvoip.com/gol ··· one.html

When I try the LA number, I get a voicemail box, and when I try the Boston number I think a kid picks up. Is this what normally happens?

I'd like to try it out because I've got Packet8 and faxes fail and I wanted to see if I could get a reading on my line quality. From what I've read here, it shouldn't be a problem.

It is probaly cause they use the G.729 codec. G.711 and T.38 is alot better.

the "golden phone" is disabled.

try again at »www.testyourvoip.com/

the validity of the test has nothing to do with any particular codec. you can unplug your ATA and the test will still be valid.

Where do you see the words "disabled"?

I tried the regular one, but unsuprisingly, my MOS is fine when it doesn't go through my DTA

Register, then log in. Then click on the option for Golden Phone, and it will tell you that it's disabled.

Faxes fail because it's VOIP not FOIP. The ability to pass a fax varies by carrier ... for me SR and Vonage will handle faxes, but my Nuvio connection will not...all on the same ISP route.
