It is not a new numbering system. The build number after the . is the release date, i.e. 4th Jan (0104) Edited to correct typo. It was very early here |

0104 makes no sense if the release date is 1st Jan (0101). Can you explain the logic behind this numbering?
EDIT: Based on Konaman's link, the release date is actually 4th Jan, which makes sense. However, laking the year, ie., 060401, this could create an archiving nightmare. |

Pages are often not updated quickly - I downloaded the verison at the FoxIt download page. Well, after Build numbers steadily rising incrementally during 2005, this is a big drop and appears a bit confusing. Have a nice day all! |

It is better to look in their forums for updates and links to those. » www.foxitsoftware.com/bb ··· af03&f=3 |

But not necessary! Next time I will try to remember to add a remark if version no. has not yet been updated on the download page. However, I think the screenshot is the proof! |

Thanks for this; I have been thinking to find an alternative to Adobe Reader....man, Adobe was a PITA to remove--thought I had uninstalled it via add/remove programs, but the damn Adobe folder was still in my Programs folder after running the uninstaller. Ended up having to use a utility to prevent Adobe-related start-up processes/services so I could manually delete that folder (& it's ~83MB worth of crap)--a shell .dll was write-protected, prventing the manual delete. Anyway, thanks again for posting as I would have kept forgetting to find something else!! |
