Re: What?

Re: Etheric Service for this customer. This customer had his own base station installed at his expense. He asked for this service. This is what is commonly known as a repeater. The service ran smoothly until his Home Owners Association brought a petition to remove his antenna. We replaced the system with a Non Line Of Sight System using 2.4 GHz. Etheric considers non line of sight 900 and 2.4 best effort. Our 5 GHz service does not share this issue. We ultimately agreed with this customer to stop service and refund him.

Again let me stress that this was for a residential repeater.

As far as the service installed this service was installed two years ago with an upload speed of 3 to 8 megabits. At that time I would challenge you to find any service uner several thousand a month with such upload.

Our New generation is capable of speeds up from 15 to 35 mbps ! Again - you will see that our primary 5 GHz service, which services 95% of our accounts - has no serious detractors on this forum.

2 years ago I had Comcast Pro--3mbit down and 384k for $95/month. That tier was also available in San Mateo. The customer spent way too much money and you charged him way too much.

Etheric Networks provides symmetrical speeds. That means this cutomer was seeing 3 to 8 Mbits download AND upload. Comcast has NEVER provided this quality of service to residential customers and frankly - never will. Your choices for this type of residential service are relatively slim - T1, Frac-T3, Frame Relay, or Wireless. There is no comparison with DSL and Cable, and you can forget about Satellite.

Go price a T1 line into your house and then report back here how much it costs. Etheric can provide up to 6 times the speed of a TI, lower latency, and high quality service for about $80/month.

You only "see" it if you are getting the speeds advertised. Apparently according to your former customer, ckafoelife , you were not able to do so. Comcast's speeds may not be as fast, but you reach the advertised speeds.

Unfortunately, there's always going to be one unhappy customer in the bunch. A company can't please everyone all the time. Look at the rest of the Etheric reviews - they speak for themselves.
