nice to guinea pigs?

brand x posted : I qualify for 8.0/1.0 (an Earthlink rep today told me it's 8.0/.386, but I trust what I see posted here more). So Earthlink's dsl/voip is faster by 6.5 mbps download & .6 mbps upload than the dsl/voip I'm considering with Speakeasy, for $15 less per month. Seems too good to be true, doesn't it? Do I trust Earthlink to treat its guinea pigs well?
