In the early '80's a man named "Deming" approached USA's big auto makers and said that they can make their products better by *the subject* and they said get out of here you pipsqueak!! I really don't know but we shouldn't be complacent and hide behind our formidable GDP. And when we plan ahead - perhaps we should be more like our Asian friends and plan further than next week. When our Asian friends formulate strategic plans - they plan decades, even generations, into the future. (I am preaching to myself - I detest planning ahead!!)
