I assume that you work for Bell. Can anyone calling Bell request to be upgraded?
I didn't get the upgrade yet and my line stats are great.

No, you cannot call and get the upgrade done any sooner. (Unless maybe a supervisor can get it done for you)
drjp81: There are other factors which effect it, but if the line is stable, you should be able to get a faster profile without any problems. |

Thanks "lets", I have no other issues with my connection, it never drops or anything. I get few Rx errors (seldom in the double digits) and I'm on the business firmware (A6x). Are there any other factors?

JP: The SNR and atten. you see in the modem is just the average, but it's actually different for each DSL bin (each different frequency). Based on the stats you have it should be OK, but the only way to know for sure is to try it! Shakkan: you ask too many questions  |

Back in the day during the 3mbit upgrade times didn't we have a schedule of when each BAS was getting upgraded. Is there not one this time around?
I've also been waitting to be upgraded, i'm with a reseller... hopefully that wont make it take longer. Although it should be automated for all users. |

Re: 5 Mbits Upgrade When ??I work for a local ISP, we were told by bell they dsl will be up to 24mbps people with 3mb will go to 5 mb and so on and you can be 25km away from the CO |

I'm in quebec and I've been upgraded to 5056/800 yesterday.
(I was on 3008/800 before)
My line Stats are
Att : 45.5
SNR : 11.5
I can get 20 to 24 of snr when one of my computers is off but its the one that I need the most :/ Anyway I'll try to figure out what cause that and fix it. |
