chshrkt posted : The only thing I can add, based on my experience with the Lynksys, is that it has an uplink port, where the SMC does not. If you ever want to add another hub/Switch, the uplink port eliminates the need for a X-Over cable, it also only gives you only three ports on your router because uplink and port 1 are shared, but if your getting a switch, no problem!

RDrocks0 posted : I have a Linksys single port and have had no problems whatsoever getting it working...Initially all I had to do was setup my ISP login and tell it to connect. Other than that it was just tweaking ports for certain apps. If you are doing gaming and such that would take some time. But having a working network??? Turn on DHCP on the router and your PCs as clients and there is no reason you shouldn't work. Also Linksys routers dont always come with the latest firmware. Mine came with 1.30 which worked fine, but I have moved it to 1.36 which added some more options. Linksys has supported PPPoE for a long time now...
--
Music makes the world go around...
