Digital VoiceI am getting the Digital Voice service tomorrow and have a question...I have moved into a new place and the excising phone jack there appears to be inactive. Does Comcast need the old twisted pair phone jack to work? or does it come in on its own line? Can someone please explain the procedure to me? Thank you- |

If you want to hook up the phones to the existing jacks, then as long as the wiring is sound they should be able to get it to work.
If you just want to hook up the phone to the eMTA, then you don't need to worry about the jacks. |

Thank you. If I hook up the phone to the eMTA only...can I then use one of those three way adapter things to add a couple more phones? is the jack on the modem just like a regular phone jack? |

I'm not sure if an adapter like that would work. Worth a shot though. And the jacks on the eMTA is just like a standard phone jack. |
