Thats the advantage to having 2 gathering professions. You can make so much money it is crazy. That is the problem with my first warrior. I was a miner and engineer, and while the mining made me good money, I made none from being an engineer.

This time around, with my priest, I am going to be a miner and herbalist. You can make some mad money with that. I have made some good money already in fact.

I have read some guides that say to take 2 gathering professions at first because strictly of a money standpoint. After you hit level 40, if you want to change one of them to enginneering or something like that, you can.

Just as a comparison, I had a druid that hit level 60 with my last account. He was a miner and skinner, and he had well over 250 gold when he hit level 40. I wasn't even farming much at the time.

I myself am an alchemist/herb on my hunter, which comes in handy.

My alt is a engineer/miner, which I enjoy making stuff.

If I had to do it all over again, I would say Engineering is good but VERY good if you have someone that uses cloth. Seems that a lot of the items you can make are things that a mage or priest would use.

I enjoyed Engineering though. With my priest, I may revisit it again later. Right now, Mining and Herbalism for me.

but just to warn you, the raw materials will be worth more than what you will craft usually.
