IE7 Tip for moving Classic Menu to top!Not sure anyone knows this but you can move the File,Edit,View,Favorites,Tools and Help buttons to the top of the IE7 browser by doing this. Put the info below in notepad and save as toolbar.reg Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\WebBrowser] "ITBar7Position"=dword:00000001 |

Need to make this a FAQ so it is there for others. If you do not mind, I would like to Cross-Board share this with another board if you do not mind. I will keep it under your honor if that is okay. |

OUTSTANDING! Thank you. Now we just need a way to remove all of that junk below the location bar. And then it will look an awful lot like the way I have Firefox set up on my computer. |

All you have to do is right-click the gray area and click "Classic Menu" You can also "Add or Remove Commands..." there. |

 Toolbar |
gate1975mlm I've followed your instructions to the letter, and I keep getting this error message (see pic)when I try to add it to the reg. Any ideas as to what the hell I'm doing wrong? |

Make sure you have this line at the very beginning of the file:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 |

I think it flows with Aero glass a little better. Now what I really want is something that can put the Stop/Refresh back where they belong. I don't think it will be long before full UI customizations are back. Though it might need Power Toys vista. |

Does this key show the toolbar by default, or does it just enable the right-click menu?
I applied it correctly the first time, and did it again now, and it didn't show the toolbar by default. |

I already had the "classic menu" on when I did it, so the next time I opened IE7 there it was at the top! |

If it isn't already showing, this reg key won't make it show. |

This fix helps. I'm trying it out in addition to using FF as my main browser and I keep looking for the "X" at the right of every tab. |
