<description><![CDATA[Stollen posted : update<br><br>just got a call from the manager they fixed the miss match and atm problem and my speed increased to 4910 download  / 661 upload.<br><br>i think for now this is a good speed..they told me to call them back tomorrow to make sure that the speed is stable and solid..is there anything else i could ask for to increase the speed?<br><br>thank you very much for your advise and suggestions]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Stollen posted : i asked today specifically for  a level 2 technician..i was told they are only available when a technician is on the line...i told them the problem is not a line problem..and my modem was checked by 4 different technician since febrary 2006 and the results are excellent..i told them they need to rebuild my profile again their answer was there has to be a technician in my apt and he has to call in to make the rebuild...when they told me this i asked to talk to a manager..i was told that the manager would call me back in 3-4 hours..that was at 9 am pst...2:30 pm of course no one called back..so i called again and asked why the manager didnt call me so the finally transfered me to a manager i explained and told her that this is a redback profile problem and maybe ATM..she promissed to work on it today and to solve it before 5pm pst after 5 min she called back and she said there some kind of miss match and maybe atm problem so they are working on it now and they will solve it before 5pm  so lets see what will happen<br><br>thank you for reading my posts]]></description>

Its not a line problem.  :uhh:<br><br>From what I understand theres 2 things that happen when you upgrade.<br><br>1. Your sync speed goes up.  This is fine since your synced at 6016/768.<br><br>2. Your profile changes.<br><br>Its your profile thats messed up.  It needs to be ripped and rebuilt.<br><br>Call tech support (1-877-722-3755) and request tier 2.  Tell them you need your rback profile ripped and rebuilt.  And/or you have a incomplete upgrade and your profile needs to be rebuilt.<br><br>You can also try calling ASI / DSL maintainence.  1-888-322-5274]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Stollen posted : 2nd technician came on may 10 to check the phone box outside my apt and to check the lines and remote terminal...everything sound fine..called again the dsl support now they said they have to send 2 technician and let them have a meeting one inside my apt and the 2nd one outside at the remore terminal...i was upset  i asked for a level 2 technician they said level 2 technician are only available for technicians..asked for a manager  they sais he will call back in 3-4 hours( still waiting)  there was no way to let them solve the problem over the phone...now they will come again on may 16...and my due date was on may 4th to have the 6 mb download...<br><br>they are just in love to send out technicians and to waist customers time..and i'm sure they will not solve the problem because the problem is for sure in their system]]></description>

Create a new ticket is not going to do it. All they do is test your line again and report back "no trouble found".]]></description>

Seems to me it's like a waiting game where you gotta just wait until the deadline. I didn't get my profile changed to 6/768 from 3/512 until the last minute!<br>You see how insane this is? I was expecting it 2-3 days at the latest but it never happened! had me worried.<br>And then they were waiting for me to call in! I was frustrated like you and pulling my hair out every min. on my due date. I say this cannot be happening! Drove me mad.<br><br>Why this drives us crazy? Well Qwest, BS, Verizon user get upgraded much faster then we do sometime within minutes after calling in, often less then an hour if they wanna take their time.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Stollen posted : ok i upgraded from dsl pro to elite and have speed problems.<br><br>i use windows xp sp2 speedstream 5100b modem and a laptop with intel centrino.<br><br>i'm little over 2000 ft from RT.<br><br>when i had dsl pro my dowload  was about 2549 kbps up was arroud 400 kbps  it was solid until mid january 2006 when i noticed major slow down  downlaod speed was under 1000kbps sometimes 600 or so...it took sbc 2 month to fix the problem  including 15 different tickets number bad service 2 field technician visits...i was told the problem was with the router out of irvine california..they put me on a different router and was told to wait for 2 weeks to see if the peoblem will be solved..the slow down was still there..2nd field technician came in and after 3 hours in my apt he figuered out that somehow( not an expert) the ATM was not fully recoqnizing my modem so he had to call an ATM center in baldwin park ca and they fixed the problam and i had my old speed again...monday may 1 2006 and i upgraded online to dsl elite due date was thursday may 4...on may 3 at night i saw that my modem configuration was changed to dowload speed 6016  upload speed to 768..when i did speedtest i noticed upload speed has increased from 400 to about 661 kbps..download speed didnt change at all its atill arround 2540 kbps..i called sbc dsl support and was told that there was an outage in my area and the problem will be fixed for sure arround 2 pm pst may 4th..called again nobody could confirm any outage!!! download speed didnt change..they did many testing and was told that i should be able to get the higher speed but speed test failed again ..called again same old thing  theey tested couldnt find anything  told to recycle my modem and i should be fine..didnt happen ..may 4 at night i was told after they did another testing that there is a problem maybe with synchronization of my modem  and that they have to send a field technician..i was like oh no i'm not going to deal with another 2 month period of technicians calling and ticket numbers...but when sbc say they will send a technician they just dont change there mind and they just dont doo anything to fix the problem  ..they even hang on me...<br><br>i asked to make sure that they really did the uograde physically even if the system do show so because sometimes they dont do the right upgrade job..they didnt really do that.. i think its a waist of time to send fiels technicians to my apt..because they were in in feb and march 2006 and didnt find anything inseide my apt and the defect was on their part outside my apt.<br><br>i did seach on the internet and read about if the upload speed go up and download is still the same that the most likely proplem is an upgrade error what they need to do to check my reback profile and to make sure if it is correct..it takes 5 min to fix it..was unable to convince then just to check..<br><br>again they sould like in love to send field technician out...<br><br>what should i do is there any suggestion or a phone number to call?<br><br>they will come this monday may 8  but i doubt it that they will find anything...<br><br>please help<br><br>thank you]]></description>
