Yikes - mouseover of topics has taken over the page!!!Is it intentional that a mouseover of a topic seems to show the entire post where it seemed to be the first line or two? It seems to have just happened. |

Same here. I was just looking for a place to post this. Just started happening with me as well. Here's a screen shot:

I think it's a Baby New Feature being born. And I think a link will appear to turn the mouseovers on or off. |

Of course, if the posts didn't run on and on this could be mighty cool. |

Look for the toggle to appear on any main forum page, at the bottom by the # of days of posts. |

Wow, I am LOVING this. Excellent feature. Been wanting something like this forever. That said, it definitely needs to be a setting one can turn off. |

I like it, and was just looking for a place to post that. So there. |

It saves me time. Now I don't have to click a thread to get an idea if I really want to read it. |

I've been using a GreaseMonkey script to block this from the last time it happened. And suddenly, those horrible mouseovers reappeared again! UGH!!! What an annoying "feature". At least it can be turned off this time. |

More resource intensive on the DSLR side to retrieve the first post from all the threads I'd imagine. More bandwidth to send all that data to the client.
Would only save on the above if users clicked on the posts to read each one to determine they weren't interested as processing all the posts is obviously more resource intensive then just the first one. |

I like this -- but, of course, I want a change. How about an option to display only the first "X" lines of a post so that the big ones don't run all the way down the screen? I know...I am never satisfied. Thanks for continually improving DSLReports! |

I'd like the option to only display every other letter of usernames. From here on out I'll refer to you as "iE". |

It'd be cool if the ticker had this too. |

I could see this being a cool feature, but how about some kind of "hover time". Say you have to hold your mouse over the topic for 3 seconds before it pops up - kinda of annoying just scrolling through and seeing it on every link. Just my 2¢ |

One thing I noticed... before I toggled it off... was that it did not seem to appear on every thread. I have no explanation as to why, unless it just picked up threads that were initiated after it was "turned on"! As mouseovers go, I guess they're okay, but I preferred the older version that truncated the thread to just the first three lines or so, and didn't include any graphic characters. I noticed an avatar that showed up in one mouseover I viewed... but no uploaded images. |

... I kinda like the feature at first glance, but Proxo doesn't ... using sidki's latest config, if the first line has a link in it, the thread title gets fubar'd (first pic) and some threads don't popup at all ... second pic is same config, pop-ups off ... ... oh well, work-in-progress ... always good to have choices ... |

Is there a *global* OFF, not just individual forums? |

I'm going to click on the link anyway, is the point bandwidth? Smells like a concession to the dial-up crowd, not that that is a bad thing...OH WAIT, DIAL-UP SUX ARSE. |

A little further digging and it seems that there are no pop ups for threads in which you have already posted! Well, that would explain that... pretty logical, although it probably should be no pop ups for threads you've already viewed instead of just the ones you've posted in. I could see where it might be a timesaver for some folks. As long as the toggle stays, I like it! Oh... and don't forget to add it to the favorite forums page, too! Not just the individual forums! Please? |

Wow that freaked me out.. How about a little notice before such a drastic change like in the news section? I really think that 'feature' is only useful if it's on a second or two delay |
