Now my Zen Vision M is neat, I compared it to my cousin's Ipod she doesnt have video but she has photo and dont know I love my Zen, I have my own customized Wallpaper, I have so many options that the ipod doesn't have. The only problem is anything that anyone that uses Apple computers gotta stick with Apple products

The software (in my PC and M) freezes at the point of transfer of selected items. I have to do a soft reset of the M to restart it.
I've uploaded a MS patch, but so far no joy.

The only thing I don't like is there's hardly any program that works with the Zen Vision on OSX. I don't like using windows most of the times, but Zen Vision on windows is so easy to use you can use it on windows media player(Sync automatically), or windows explorer in its own thing.

It charges fast, the last complain I would have for it is the skin that makes it too thick for me to carry, its good to keep it in the car and stuff. Now I am having second thoughts if I should get an ipod or not.

So now Zen Vision:M vs iAUDIO X5L

The Zen Vision has 4 hours of video, 14 hrs of audio according to pricegrabber comparison. Has more video formats than the X5L, plus more image types too, has pda functions, but the included components the X5L has nicer package, a miracle but the zen vision is smaller and weighs less, and im guessing the screen is bigger too ?

the X5L is bigger but best for music, video is decent, but the zen vision wins over video/size/music also including the ipod. the ipod is just ok for average user thinness, the X5L and Zen win. but in my case, the Zen has better video smaller and bigger lcd than the X5L, and its probably the same price or a lil cheaper. Now I'm just gonna keep reading reviews.

The mere fact that iPods have such a "cutsy-factor" with all of the goofy gadgets is just annoying to me nowadays. I used to think it was cool, but I don't any longer.

The X5L is what I want right now...

*IF* you listen to all types of music, AND do a lot of warez downloading, the X5 is great, because it handles the most music formats of any of the players, a couple of the highest quality formats. Sure, the video screen isn't too fancy, but the audio quality is the best on the market.

Ease of use, remote control and no clumsy wiring jobs. Easy docking/undocking. Plus built in charging, that's another wire if you go the other route. And the car interfaces, there is nothing more slick than controlling your player from the stock car radio and seeing the song/artist names on the radio. Just look at all the boom boxes you can interface an iPod to. Even Yamaha receivers now have an iPod interface in their newer models.
