Re: New information regarding The Burning Crusade

When you are in a large guild, especially one that is built around 40 man raids, having only 25 man raids will ensure that someone always gets to sit out.

Why not have 2 raids within the guild?

any good guild will run both or multiple teams on the same night and even out the Teams. my guild is already talking about it. officers split, top tiered players split, etc. it can work. guilds just have to prepare to have two, three, or even four top members that can do this.

Not necessarily. Top end guilds will want to plow through the new content as fast as possible. (think race for world firsts) Splitting the talent between 2 different raids would ensure slower progress in said raid instances. Most top end guilds will select the best players MOST of the time for raids and the people left out may form their own raids but be much much slower.

Tho, a lot of people wont level to 70. Some might get discouraged and not bother. I suspect most guilds will go through a decent amount of people quitting the game when Burning Crusade is released.

After reading over this Interview Jeff Kaplan there may indeed be hope for keeping and maybe even gaining players after the expansion comes out.
