justbits posted : The data you posted says that you are set for the 6016/768 profile. Your line has very good statistics/charactoristics.

From the log, it looks like your modem is losing Ethernet link. That could be an indication of a problem. Did you plug/unplug the ethernet cable a few times? If this keeps occurring, you'll see hiccups in your downloads whenever it happens.

When AT+T upgrades you, you ought to see the 768 value increase. Right now, it looks like your circuit is not configured for ADSL2 or ADSL2+. I'd expect data sections 330, 331, 332 and 335 to contain data if ADSL2/2+ was being used on your circuit.

--justbits

fihtia posted : I called AT&T Yahoo DSL and they told me they offer 6MB down/1.5MB up in Dayton, OH for $29.99 (Elite package for residential line - one year contract). Since I am less than 0.3 mile from the server I signed up. I am supposed to get FULL speed on both sides.
My due date to get the service is Aug 29 (in 4 days from now). I wonder if anyone else has this package and what kind of speeds they are getting.
I connected my 4100 modem to the line today (again, 4 days earlier than the due date of the service) and I am getting DSL service. Speeds: 4996kbps down/626kbps up.
Customer service didn't even know how in the world I am getting dsl service since they haven't connected it yet to my line! I explained to them my speed and they told me to wait untill the due date and see if the upload speed (which I am more concerned bout) is going to increase.
Any thoughts?
