3CRWER100-75. Can not send e-mails with more than 2-3 lines

Hello,

I have recently switched router from DLink to 3Com (»www.3com.com/products/en ··· der=desc)

Everything except my outgoing mail works as expected. I can only send very small mails (2-3 lines). All other mails fails with a 0x8004210B error, it cannot connect to the SMTP server. The problem is not static. Sometimes I cannot send mail at all, sometimes I can send mails with as much as 20 lines. A 1mb attachment always fail.

I have tried adjusting MTU settings (even though they seem correct) without luck. I have no problems sending mails when bypassing the router, connecting the computer directly to the cable modem. I am not using the wireless features. The SPI firewall has been turned off.

Please give me some advise here!

I cannot find any answers at 3com.com, nor any new firmware (the router is running 1.0.24, Mar 22, 2006).

Regards,
Mikael

Try something that's in 3Com's Knowledgebase.

Go to: »knowledgebase.3com.com/
and search on 3KB19051

This addresses an Email related problem with this router.

Good luck!
