Problems with OOL Boost Service on inbound port 80 only
Just wandering if anyone has this same issue.
I added the Boost service to my home network a couple of months ago. I run 1 server which has three services: Web server on port 80, web server on port 443 and webmail on port 25 (accessed via the 443 web server) I used this same system at my previous house using Verizon DSL without any problems.
Now, ever since I went to Boost, the port 80 goes down every 12 to 48 hours. And it is only port 80, my webmail account can be accessed fine and I can receive and send email via port 25. The website on port 80 eventually times out. It is getting very frustrating. I removed all the cable splitters from the Internet Cable line and now have only in in place at the drop on the side of the house. I have checked the signal strength and it is now very strong.
The only way for me to fix this is to pull the power on the cable modem and plug it back in. This works immediately. Resetting the router or server does nothing.
Good Luck.....unfortunately that is the best i can say!
A friend has OOL Boost on his business account.
SAME THING happens. Every night, port 80 "vanishes". It's always around like 9-10 PM, though, so through wget and a machine at his office, it's rebooted at 8:45 PM nightly.
OOL was stumped.
Again, good luck! If you DO resolve this, i'd LOVE to hear what fixed it!
