Did any of those users mention specific brands of monitors...so they can be avoided like the plague.

Perhaps the best thing one can do, "panic mode buying" of conventional CRT monitors.

It would really suck, if the OS, during boot, determined one has downloaded an illegal copy of a brand name monitor.

Talk about a catch-22 situation. Dude, my DRM enabled monitor won't let me on-line, and I really need to download a DRM monitor crack patch

I realize how silly that sounds, yet these azzhats attempting this garbage are even sillier. sheesh

Want to see my new kitchen stove? Its blue and has DRM in it. Bah

Lack of DRM in the monitor won't prevent you from basically using the OS. The plan is to either disable playback of high-definition video (movies etc.), or degrade the video, if the monitor is a conventional one without the DRM.
