Not sure if Ruth ever got her service or not, but I thought I would follow up on this thread and share some info on DSL in the 380 Corridor (I also started one of the threads that DoubleT referenced above).
Apparently SBC/ATT is making a rather aggressive push into this area now. They did put in a CO in the Paloma Creek community and have put in several RT's in the area. I live in Providence and they have put in an RT right behind the shopping center in front of my community. That means that everyone in Providence can now get the Elite package and most people in Emerald Sound and Cross Oaks Ranch should have DSL now available (if they didn't already).
I'm in the same boat as banditZ71 ... I have the Elite package but I'm paying $29 a month because the SBC website doesn't show DSL being available in my area yet so I had to call and get it ordered over the phone. They charge an extra $2 a month for this 'convenience' even though it's their fault the web database isn't current/correct

The speeds and reliability seem to be great so far. I'm on about my 3rd month with DSL and have been getting 5200/650 the entire time, with only one outage and that was due to a short in the wire when they buried the line in my yard (I previously had no phone/dial tone ... what was the point? If they didn't have DSL available, I didn't need dial tone

). No problems whatsoever otherwise.
So, even though the SBC site may show that DSL isn't available, doublecheck by calling them and having them verify your address for service.
