Jerm posted : The last time I saw a thread like this everyone who replied was using those lightweight steel mouse pads (various brands). I replied saying I had a func.net mousepad I won at a big lanparty, that was vastly superior to anything else I had tried.

Same suggestion applies. I have the soft-rubber backed one with the medium texture (forget model) and I absolutely love it. Still haven't found another mouse pad I like better and the current one has held up well to all sorts of abuse - surface is as good as the day I bought it!

EDIT -
Found the old thread:
»Best Gaming Mousepad?

I guess I use the F.30 type with medium surface.

I currently use a Logitech mx518 with a cheapo Belkin mousepad and its so much better than the RatPadz.
Kindguy98 posted : Hi guys,
I am not really a hardcore gamer, but I thought you would know most about this stuff. I am thinking of getting a Logitech® G5 Laser Mouse and would like to know what mousepad is good for this mouse. I know that I could probably use it without a mousepad at all but I like using a mousepad. Anyway, I've been doing some research and many mousepads are made for optical mice. I couldn't find any discussion on laser mice. Any siggestions? also, what do you think about X-Ray thunder?
--
Cogito ergo sum
