They will be coming out with their DVR at time of launch and will have access to the HD channels at that point as well.  Since I have been on last, I have had the wireless access point installed as well as the VOIP.  I'm still getting excellent speeds on the wireless...I'll try to post a speedtest this weekend if you are interested.  I'm getting anywhere from 10.5-11.0 meg (sym.) on the desktop.<br><br>They said they will have the final price sheets ready shortly before "go live" day.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[Elgringo posted : Well, I held my nose today and called to sign up with Time Warner.  I had been on Dish Network with Roadrunner for my internet.  Comparing costs and such, Time Warner just made more sense.  Not to mention, though I called in to take advantage of one promotion, I was able to score an even better one.<br><br>So, if (big if) and/or when Fision gets their act together and expands beyond one neighborhood, maybe I can sign up with them then.  But I expect AT&T's UVerse to be available before that.  And to be honest, I don't have much hope for UVerse being available to me for quite a while, either.<br><br>The Fiber IPTV option just seems to have great potential, but so far it is just empty promises as far as I and probably most of the Houston area is concerned.]]></description>

Exactly how long did it take to lay phone lines across the US once A.Bell made his discovery? Beta testing is just that...making sure everything is working perfectly before going public and having to deal with headaches and unhappy customers.  <br><br>As far as the competition remarks go, as I mentioned before those companies are not offering fiber "DIRECT" unless they are taking over a new fiber subdivision.  They will have a hub in the subdivisions and run coaxial from the hub to your home.  That's called compression and that limits services that Fision is able to provide through zero compression.  If you want the benefits of Fision right away then move to an all fiber community.  <br><br>I'm testing the phone service at the moment and its pretty cool if you like calls redirected to alternate numbers when nobody picks up on the main line and e-mailed sound files of messages left...:)]]></description>

If I compare costs, it comes out about the same for comparable channel lineup and internet compared to my separate TWC internet and Dish costs.<br><br>As much as I don't like AT&T, either.  The service looks to be want I want right now.  So, guess I'll just have to check next week or so and see where it is available (probably not in my area... It should be a viable alternative to TWC and perhaps good enough that Fision might have problems penetrating the market.<br><br>Lest we forget that Comcast will be taking over from TWC pretty soon so that could also be interesting to see what they do. ]]></description>

You could see nothing but Phonoscope trucks and big wheels of fiber cables. I originally went to see if they had any promo items for a golf tournament we are having for my school. Apparently, they are not open on weekends.<br><br>I'm just hoping that they can expand their services to Houston and suburban areas, such as Missouri City before Feb 2007. As you know, Time Warner should be replaced by Cox by then. Also, that is the time we have to renew Verizon DSL for 1 year, which we don't want to do yet.]]></description>
