mudchucker posted : The valves they came with, were they just like the older MF 1080 loader grapple valve? Like I mean spring return, electro to change flow.

Unless you have the sms joystick, there is no reason to order the bosch electro valves.

Heres an example of what I did for a Kubota tractor pulling a ditch mower

1st set remotes to raise
2nd set to raise/lower right wing, had a electro valve hooked to the left wing, so when I pushing the joystick button, it would change flow to the left wing circuit. It was just like a grapple curcuit for an Alo loader, but running a rear ditch mower.
--
When I first got married we started out with nothing,... and to this day we still have most of it.

vincent9993 posted : This is becomming a real PITA... This tractor was not ordered with the optional SMS valves. We have now decided to order the valves and hook up the blade to these valves as you suggested.

In the future, it would be nice if someone build a terminal adaptor for the canbus. The way I understand it is there's an electronic device that has a unique ID that can be recognized by the the computer on the SMS valves, if we could get one of those modules without the valve that would have a couple of outputs such as a 12v relay and possibly a variable output.

Canbuskits.com makes something close to what I'm talking about but it looks to be hard coded with the values for specific automobile functions (such as windows and door locks)

Any thoughts?

mudchucker posted : You do not wish to run 4 hydraulic lines to the rear mechanical remotes, or the sms valves? That would be the easiest instead of pissing around with the electro/hyd valves.

OR, plumb into the sms valves and run permanant couples to the front. They will function with the sms joystick,.. I guess you could say it would be rigged up the same way as a MF loader, with sms function option.

vincent9993 posted : We installed an aftermerket snow plow that does not have the canbus interface but simply the electro valves. If it was an MF loader than I supose it would be simpler. Perhaps there's a part number for the receiving end to convert to the electromagnetic valves?

As you said what a coincidence! What are the odds?!

Thanks.

mudchucker posted : What a coincidence, lol I have worked on these for 10yrs. If you are talking about the sms hydraulics, what exactly do you want to do. Control 3 functions with the 2 function joystick?
--
When I first got married we started out with nothing,... and to this day we still have most of it.

vincent9993 posted : Ok so this is for a tractor but same principles apply. Our new tractors now ship with CAN-Bus to control hydrolics. The electro-valves have 12v selanoids. Anyone know where I can get a canbus "receiver/relay" (probably wrong term) to control my electro-valves from the CAN-Bus signals?

Any good reading on this technology?

Thanks.
