Re: [Speed] slow download speeds in State College, Pa on weekendNo.
We have 2 tier options here already. 6000/768 16000/2000
I called tech support. Everything shows as normal on their end. No issues have been reported. I pointed this thread to the TSR to show the issue has spread from State College to Port Matilda & Stormstown.
Any ideas?

I am not sure what they are doing out there. Weird. We had a small problem here for a few days after initially being connected to the Comcast servers, but you guys have been connected for some time now I believe? Wish I could be more helpful. |

It's cool! I did what I could with my discussion with the TSR. We'll see what happens in the next few days! |

I'm located in Bellefonte and this is the first significant speed issue I've had in a very long time. I had no major issues immediately after the Comcast changeover. At that time I just had to release/renew/flush/register and I was good to go. |

I'm Located in Tyrone and since yesterday (12-15-06) the page loading has been extremely slow.
I don't know if I should call Comcast or just wait a few days since this seems to be a wide spread problem in our area.
Hopefully this will get resolved soon in light of the fact our internet service is going up in January, from $42.95 to $59.95 |

Call in! The more people reporting the issue, the sooner it will be looked into.
Also, the price isn't going up unless you are upgrading to 16/2 or you don't have cable TV service with your HSI. |

Johkal,
I will take your advice and call in.
You are right about the price increases. I only have Comcast for HSI as I have Directv for watching TV.
Still a pretty large increase for those of us with just internet service through Comcast. |

Yes; as ex-Adelphia customers we were fortunate to not have been penalized for not having cable TV. |

Super slow speeds here in PA Furnace for the past 48 hours as well. My VOIP (Packet 8) has been sporadic ever since the Comcast takeover. I'm not pleased. I call in and they tell me everything looks to be fine. |
