Whoa, Night Rider! Read the above posts carefully. All incoming calls to a SunRocket Virtual# (AnyWhere#/Sig#) arrive on Line 1 of any and all of the Gizmos they have supplied (past and present) --- not Line 2. Line 2 may only be used for outgoing calls.

That said, your quest to use your Sig# for incoming faxes is quite doable. Sign up for a free Fax number with k7.net (which provides a Seattle WA number) or with FreeDigits.com (which provides an Iowa number). Then just forward your SR Sig# to the free fax number --- and all incoming faxes to your SR Sig# will be directed to the Seattle or Iowa fax number and then be redirected to your registered email address as a viewable and printable file. It works great!

No! None of that will work.

Please re-read the above. As noted, all calls to the sig # will STILL ring through only on Line 1.

Your best bet may be to forward the signature number somewhere else, whether a POTS line or another VoIP provider's connection.

Or just use distinctive ring!

I have seen some reports that SR has snagged/warned/disabled people who activated the second line, but I don't know if that's common.

As far as I understand, you WOULD be able to make two calls, but not receive them... After all, by "activating" the second line you ARE doing a "multiple login from the same account". Thus my (uninformed) warning above.

First I want to understand what activating the 2nd phone port will/not do. It is my understanding that it will allow incoming calls to direct to port 1 or port 2 based on number assignment. I do not believe it will allow me to either accept or receive two phone calls at the same time. I wish it did but I think Sunrocket's SIP server balks at multiple logins from the same account. Yes? No?

Second, I believe this is done through VOIP > User Account. If so, is the authentication ID the same for both ports? Could someone explain what a Hot Phone Number is? The Innomedia Admin Guide was not clear in defining this parameter.
