Re: Speed upgrade in March...I got some note about them raising the cable prices yet again. I can't believe they really have to charge $21.95 a month for basic cable. Something is wrong with this picture.
Extra downstream would be a bonus, though I am not expecting miracles here. |

Yeah 8 meg will now be 10 meg.
The low speed was 128k, will soon be 256k. However the price will jump to 25$ but when bundled with TV will drop to 15$ Previously the low speed did not qualify for the TV/Internet bundled discount.
The HDTV subscription previously was 5$, will soon be 10$. A&E & History will be going HDTV in June/July. Western Washington areas will be upgraded to On Demand. |

Western Washington meaning Port Angeles / Sequim. They are rebuilding the network to support On Demand, and add capacity for HD channels. The HD price in PA will not be adjusted until the rebuild is complete. Estimated completion is sometime in June.
Existing customers with low speed will be grandfathered in at the old price.
Also new packages (video) coming with the rate adjustment. Details haven't been cemented, but keep an eye out.
They are also working on more HD channels. I've heard possibly Speed, maybe a few others.
Official as of Friday, 2/16/07 is Wave's acquisition of Wycom's Bangor properties. |
