Latest Pricing? My contract is up.I was paying $17.99 for Pro.
Now, there is no break for agreeing to a new 1yr term. It looks like I'm in for a hike to $24.99.
Anyone have any luck negotiating a better rate than this? |

Well, I called and at least dropped my calling plan that I had to get the $17.99 rate.
Them - Why are you dropping the plan?
Me - Well, since you aren't giving me a discount anymore for having it, and I don't use it, drop that sucker!
So, it's a $4 bill increase for me now instead of $7.
Plus, I opted not to re-sign for another year. The only reason to really sign is to protect you from more price increases. If they do that, I might have to seriously consider going to another provider. |

I upgraded to Elite again, and it's only costing me 29.99 for a year....I don't understand how one person can get a different price as my neighbor got the same thing I got for 37.99. Your best bet would to be call them up and dicker it out with them. |

Considering that I've been with SBC for a year now and on the $17.99 Pro plan, and have currently half the speed that I had when I signed up, I'm going to be watching this topic very closely as I get notice of any rate change any week now. |

The Wife re-upped us for Pro today, holding at 24.99. They did give us "the fourth month free" as a bonus I guess, so come May or June we should see a freebie on our bill so that drops the monthly rate to an effective $22.91 a month for the year. Elite was offered at 34.99 but I'm quite sure Mr. Fixit told me a few months back that my connection won't support Elite, so Pro it is. I'm about 2500 feet from the RT and average 2510/430 so I'm not complaining as of late.  |

I spoke with ATT yesterday and the PRO offer was identical, $24.99. I was told that if I sign up for a year the 4 month would be free, hence the 22.91/month. I did ask them if I could get the latest modem at no cost. She didn't think that would be a problem. My equipment is about 4 years old it would be nice to get something new, at least I would have a backup in the event that a lightning storm whacks me again. |

It works great; I'm assuming this is standard issue right now. Much smaller than the 5600, little bigger than your average radar detector. Me likes... |

There is usually little resistance.

Well i just called them. It seems there is a deal going. But it's a 2 year contract. For me I'm using there dish with 180 channels. I would have to get there long distance package with my Elite DSL .. I could get a credit of 34.99 a month. Total for this she said was 106.00 a month but this is only for 1 year. After that the 34.99 goes into effect. If i moved out of state i would be breaking the contract. But if i moved within the state and one of the services were not available then it was ok.
This is good till March 31st
I'm not sure i want to commit for that long. Heck i'm trying to get out of this state. |
