Re: SpeedTouch 516/546/780 Group Buy, PART III Revised

very cool. Well, I've plunked my money down. Going to move over anyways, figured that the price was right for the modem

I have to call Bell on average 3 times when I need support issues (like my email issue today) to get a competent employee that will help me. Even though i know Teksavvy will have to deal with Bell, I feel comfortable (from the feedback here) that i won't regret going over there in August - with no contract and for a good price.

And if I move somewhere with no DSL in the future, I can always sell this modem and recoup some costs.

I'm currently using Bell's 6520 which just handles my 'marginal' line - SNR was ~18 before i got the 5 meg upgrade and is about 10 to 11.5 now. I get some errors but no sync or connection loss with the 6520.

Can the 516 handle line conditions even better than the 6520? Does it have even more capability for future upgrades perhaps too?

Also, I have some ''extra'' Bell filters they provided, I'm pretty sure one of those will work with the 516 right?

Thanks for any info
