I'm still running windows xp with a radeon 9800 pro on catalyst 5.11s. Is there a version of this driver without the catalyst control center? I just basically want the driver - control panel - wdm.

You have the option of installing just the driver.

Yea I see the standalone driver being offered, but I was looking for a version WITH the control panel, simply because the control panel has handy features.

Neato! Is this an official version that's released by ATI, or is it a 3rd party driver? IIRC I read somewhere that ATI was planning to phase out the CP version of all its future releases.

No, these are not released by ATI. It's my understanding, that they are the official ATI drivers, that are tweaked, and tuned by the Editor in Chief of the NGOHQ website.

And yes, ATI quit including the control panel with their drivers awhile back. They replaced it with the CCC.
