I just got Cogeco High Speed Internet Standard and it's very fast (kills Sympatico). So far, it seems quite reliable. My issue is that when I login to my self-care control panel, it says that the bandwidth cap is 15GB. From what I've read, this is the old cap and it's now supposed to be 60GB. If I go over 15GB, do you think they'd enforce it, or only if I go over 60Gb?
Doing a search would reveal most recently (amongst a lot of older posts): »Joost on Cogeco
"If you do a search on this topic you'll find that they don't care so much about download as they do upload. You can go well over 60GB on downloading and not have any problems. You'll get an automated bandwidth warning before you had any serious issues - until then, keep on downloading."
Well I'm glad that they're lenient on the download cap, but they still must have some limit, so I hope that they didn't setup my account with the wrong cap. I don't want to find out that I reached 50Gb which is too far above the cap and get a bill for $200 or something crazy!
