Rob A posted : I'm not seeing the same thing, gmail works fine here. It could be that I just don't use gmail enough to notice though (I use M2, opera's built in email client, I'd give it a try if I were you). But anyway, opera 9.2 will be out soon and will probably take care of this problem. In the mean time you can try:
1. A clean install
or
2. Use the View in IE feature to view a page using the IE Engine inside of opera.

To do this go to: »operawiki.info/CustomBut ··· s#webdev

Drag n Drop the "View in IE" button into opera and download the neptune plugin provided on the opera wiki page for it to work.
--
Spread Opera!
Sly posted : I have a few other problems as well. Sometimes text doesn't want to scroll continuously. When I enable the mouse scroll, Opera will scroll down through the website and then at some point it will get hung. The cursor still shows the scrolling icon but if I move the mouse up or down to move the page, nothing happens. I have to hit the scroll button on the mouse to disable scrolling and then again to re-enable it. It's like the screen freezes when it happens.

Finally, my links go dead sometimes. When I am on a forum and I click the next page button nothing will happen. It will still be underlined or highlighted as a link on the page but when I move the cursor over the link nothing happens. The cursor does not change to the floating hand and nothing happens when I click the link. I have to restart opera when that happens so that I can get links to work again.

That's about all the bugs I can think of...
--
"The penalty good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men."
- Plato -

[Opera] Bad artifacts when using Gmail

Sly posted : I have an issue with Opera using Gmail. Attached are some screen shots of the artifacts that I am getting. I only get them when I am scrolling the text. They don't go away unless I refresh the page like in the second screen shot. But as soon as I start scrolling again the artifacts come back. Ideas?

I have tried to mask as IE and as Mozilla and neither one makes a difference. I don't have this problem with IE (Slimbrowser) or Firefox.
--
"The penalty good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men."
- Plato -

<TABLE WIDTH=96% align=center border=0 CELLPADDING=4">

Bad artifacts

Refresh the page and they are gone

scroll down and they come back
