The signal is good, but the error log is a little unusual. |

I asked a level 3 rep about the event log and he states the reason why some errors are reported is because they don't use those features. The time syncs etc. |

I guess they should start to use these features so that would be more easy for them to define the problem which consumer have. anyway i am home today it's 10:00 am and here is my speed results include ping. eveything is working great but until what time ??? I got technician coming today from tw. |

actually the errors in the log about sync failure have nothing to do with features not in use. When a modem starts up it scans through a number of frequencies "listening" for the headend to say hello.
When the modem doesnt hear a Hello, it times out (T3 timeout). logs a sync failure, and moves on to the next until all frequencies are exhausted or it finds a lock.

I usually don't believe TWC reps at their word but I feel like a fool right about now. Anyone care to explain this, it's been going on for sometime now... |

dude i agree with you i don't trust TW/Earthlink reps. I guess that ray is right i mean this is rca modems not TW so i guess it is most for RCA company see whats going with modem. Maybe TW technicians aren't trian that high level to know these readings. anyway my connection is working and stable all day. I am at work now so i will post later my speeds. i hope that your connection was fixed too. |
