I returned a movie and somehow it disappeared. They tried to charge me for the movie but I fought it and they let it slide for one time but they are the ones that told me to always watch the movie get checked in and to ask for a receipt.
Interesting...I'm having the exact same problem. Yeah the movie only cost 10 bucks, but I don't have it. Dropped it in the slot and puff, it's gone. And now they are trying to collect it thru a collection service. WTF? Plus the manager seems to always be off property. I mostly buy my movies now. Then later if I don't watch it much or not at all, the Movie Trading place is an excellent way of getting another movie practically for nothing!

Same rules apply. Get the district's phone number. Any manager can get the collection agency off your back with a simple phone call, unless things have changed.
