Wow! I honestly have never seen that speed out there with Centurytel, and I'm in "area" homes every week. I usually do a speed test before and after to show my customers what they are getting vs what they had. That rocks! I'd kill for those speeds on Dsl. Best I can get here with Qwest is 1.5/512 (and that's pushing it). I'm guessing the latency is low as well. Is that sharing the same pair as your voice? |

The latency with the test server was 8ms (so it said). I think that's because it's a test server on CenturyTel's network. And yes, this is on the same pair as my residential voice line. That's good because it gives you an idea of true "line speed."
Of course, they messed up my order and didn't give me static IPs like I asked for. Will have to wait until Monday to call Customer Service on that one. |
