I live alone so having the password manager auto fill is what I prefer [I don't have any critical passwords on the pc]; but the reason my browser isn't working correctly, is because *I* am not logging in on my visits... as I previously thought. I thought that screen which State posted, logged me in when I decided to post something. [picture embarrassed icon here]

Thanks to *all* of you who helped so much; everything is back to normal today. Guess I'll change my habits now, before my pass to *the best* tech web site is revoked.

Putting your login information in the form at the top will credit your account with the post, but won't actually log you into the site..which might explain why you're seeing strange things. Maybe?

Also in the Charter forum, it filled in an old subject line of someone's, when I clicked to create a "new" message. After I change it and post a message I have *no button* to click... to edit it.

As for the favorite forums list disappearing, that happened to me in June of last year too, combined with these other things. Could it be the Mozilla or SeaMonkey coding is not being identified, or handled correctly upon sign in?

All of this is *exactly* what happened to me in June 2006, except then, other people were experiencing it too. I looked up the old messages to see when that was. :)

It apparently has something to do with changes in the coding for the sign ins, or identities, because of what I go through to post a message, which I can't edit, and my favorite forums list is *gone* [same as last time].

FWIW, I am using SeaMonkey 1.1, if that makes a difference. I didn't see any other complaints about this now, so does that mean that this is not likely to be addressed any time soon? ;)
