HDTV Search Problems

I still have the old guide. When I bring up the menu and search by HDTV I get tons of non HD shows. Most everything I watch is in HDTV and thought this would have been an easy way to filter my guide choices. Funny thing is I could have sworn this was working fine a few weeks ago. Anyone (everyone?) else have this problem?

Yes, everyone [who didn't buy the TivoHD for $250] does.

The information supplied by Verizon's data provider has just gotten worse and worse.

It's probably showing all HD stations whether the show is in HD or not.

Several new channels launched HD versions which Verizon doesn't carry yet. A few of those programs are available in HD on those channels. The guide is supposed to say programs on those channels are "Available in HD," but instead it is saying they are HD.

Discovery and TBS contribute the problem by flagging every one of the programs on their new channels as HD, despite the fact that only ~3% of their content is HD. They do this so guide providers list all their programs as "Available in HD" -- they think customers will demand the channel from their provider if they see that their favorite programs are available in HD. However, as above, FYI (Verizon's guide data provider) is listing this content as "HD" rather than "Available in HD."

So then it renders that search useless, thanks Ken
