spatula_city1 posted : I am too in Fullerton and getting really sucky speed tests. With @home, I was used to getting 2200k - 2700k on the speed tests. Now with Adelphia, I am getting 250k - 700k that's a crappy deal, I am not happy >:-( It seems that that there are a considerable ammount of hops now to any place on the internet. Even just going down the street to traceroute a local college takes over 20 hops to accomplish where the connection goes up and down the state. Every place I traceroute to has the same first 13 hops before it reaches a "smart" backbone router. Then the backbone connections seem very slow especially the Level3.net ones. I'm just trying to figure out why everything is going so much slower now. Maybe we'll have to wait for Adelphia to work out the kinks, but how long do we wait?
