Viewsonic VX922 and Nvidia 8600GT woesWhen I plug in my Viewsonic VX922 I get a blinking Green LED light. sometimes it will stay green a little bit and i might get a flicker of light on my monitor. I got it to work once before by wiggling the cord in back but not since then and I don't want to have to 'get lucky' to get it to work.
This monitor has been great for the past year and only now am I having issues.
Nvidia 8600GT 256MB dual dvi out
I connect too either out via a dvi adaptor and I cant get a picture. The Greeg LED fashes but nothing
If I plug an adaptor to the cable and go DVI out to DVI in on the video card, same thing... Flashinf Green LED no picture.
I have sent number emails to viewsonic tech support and I have yet to get any response...
HELP please
I have been able to get to work with the new computer once be screwing with it changing display inputs over and over but this time nothing. Wont display on any computer,,
Ideas? |

I just bought a new computer, a dell, with a 8600GT and it 'just doesnt want to display anything. It worked fine with my old comp with a ATI radeon 9600 pro AGP. I gutted that computer to update a couple others and when I went to hook it up to the new one, NOPE NO WAY AINT GUNNA HAPPEN
I have done everything I can think of. Different power cable, different video cable, etc..
I screwed with it relentlessly and it actually popped on and was great for about 2 weeks then poof out again |

I'm having the same problem with the same monitor too. I find that when I unplug the power and leave it out for about 3-5 mins then plug it back in, it will detect the monitor again. I've tried using analog and digital cables, but that still didn't get my monitor working after booting.
Have you found a solution yet? |

from the few reports of the issue, it would appear the one you have has a faulty power system in it, I'd RMA it.
if it is still under warranty. |

Mine detects the monitor, as Vista pulled new viewsonic .inf file from the web. If you google VX922 troubleshooting, it is a prob. I am in the midst of getting it repaired through Viewsonic. |

Were you able to get it repaired through Viewsonic? I'm having the same issue with a Viewsonic VP930b that worked flawlessly for almost two years. The screen remains black and the power button flashes green. I've read horror stories about the RMA process with Viewsonic. Since it's still under warranty I've emailed support but have yet to hear back from them. |

I got nowhere with them. It was a miserable experience. I will never buy another Viewsonic Monitor. I was able to trade a copy of MS Small business Server ( which I havent used in yrs) to a buddy for a Dell E207WFP 20" Brand new shipped right from dell. Couldnt be happier. I am taking the viewsonic out in the desert this weeked and using it as a 150 yard target for the 30-30 I have.. Should be fun. |

LOL, enjoy your target practice. I may just go ahead and purchase a new monitor while I wait for them to come through with warranty support. |
