I have believed, since the introduction of spyware/adware/malware to the Internet that there should be some kind of certification course required before you can even THINK about seeing the letter W 3 times in a row. That didn't work, Microsoft kept making it easier and easier to use.

Instead of giving their customers some sort of guide, they just made the OS protect the user in such a way that it's invasive to anyone who might have the slightest clue. I have no intention of ever getting Vista. If my next laptop has it, I'll just wipe it out and use Ubuntu or something.

Remove the tinfoil hat. Vista is just fine. I've been running it for almost a year now and I've had no problems. The only real annoying thing is UAC and thats easily turned off. Stop believing everything you read and actually try it.

I did actually try it, but thanks for your sentiment. I installed Vista Ultimate and used it on my laptop for about 2 months just so I could support any customers that may "upgrade" to the latest and greatest.
